Our Confirmation program is a 2 year preparation program that gathers together our Catholic schooled, public schooled, and homeschooled children to prepare all of our parish children for their Sacrament. Students traditionally begin this program in seventh grade and complete it with reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in eighth grade. To enter this program, we ask children to be co-enrolled in Montini, religious education, or be following a Diocesan approved home study program.
Our Confirmation preparation classes meet once a month. A parent or guardian is expected to attend class at the same time as their child. More information about these programs will be available soon.
We use the Decision Point program published by Dynamic Catholic. Half of the program is completed each year. During the class, we watch the videos and engage in discussions.
If you have a child seventh grade or older who is interested in preparing for Confirmation, please contact Lisa Johnson in the Religious Education Office at 815-385-2959 or at reoffice@stpatrickmchenry.org
