Goals and Purpose: A response to your Baptismal call to serve God’s people by assisting the priest(s)/deacon in distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass.
Responsibilities: An Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion assists the priest (when there is a need) to distribute the Bread of Life to those attending Mass. To fulfill scheduled assignments for distribution of Holy Communion and to find subs when one cannot be at scheduled Mass.
Helpful Attributes: A strong commitment to Christ and the Church as evidenced by a life lived in conformity with all that the Church teaches. Open to registered parishioners who are 16 years of age or older, have been Confirmed and are in good standing with the Church.
Time Commitment: Varies - approximately 2 or 3 times/month dependent on liturgical season and parish need
Training Required: Parish provided
Meeting Schedule: Periodically as announced
